Cruising through the Piazza Navona on this Liberation Day….

Everyone loves a good holiday, especially when it is unexpected.  For us, we were treated to celebrating Italy’s Liberation Day on April 25th.  It celebrates the Liberation of Italy from the Nazi Forces.  For the grand-daughter of an Italian American WWII vet, I found it to be a very great reason to celebrate.  The weather was gorgeous and the three of us took a nice walk through the city.  First on the list was a visit to the Piazza Navona to have lunch.  We then crossed the bridge taking us to the Vatican City area.  I really cannot not complain about the weather here!  See a few shots here…

Until Next time.
